2017 Wild Atlantic Way Golf Championship

The Winners of the 2017 Wild Atlantic Way Championship were Achill Island Golf Club. Pictured at the prize presentation are Mark Corrigan (Captain), Ger Hassett, Julie Hasset & Karen Lyons at the Talbot Lodge being presented their prizes by Gerry McGuire Captain of Bellmullet Golf Club.  It was a great round of golf and they were deserved winners of this years event. Again, the event proved to be a huge success with fifteen teams taking part from up and down the Wild Atlantic Way. The competition took place on Sunday October 8th in good conditions and the format was a four person AM AM team event with two scores per hole counting.  Well done to Achill Island Golf Club on a great victory and their captain, Cpt. Mark Corrigan for picking such a strong team. The competition will remain in Carne Golf Links, Belmullet for 2018, and we wish them every success with the event.

Thanks to our host Tommy Talbot of The Talbot Hotel for a great nights dining and entertainment. Thanks also to Gerry Maguire and Helen Comiskey, Captain and Lady Captain of Belmullet Golf Club and also all the hard working team at Carne Golf Links, Belmullet, Co. Mayo who will also host next years event on Sunday 4th November 2018.
